Bristol, Tenn. – The West Liberty University women's wrestling team took to the mats on Sunday, competing in the Tornado Open hosted by King University in Bristol, Tenn.
Highlighting the event was Trinity Howard, who is redshirting this season and wrestled unattached. Howard dominated the 124 lb. weight class, claiming the championship with an impressive performance. After an opening-round bye, she recorded a 13-2 tech fall, followed by a 16-second pin in the semifinals, and secured the title with a commanding 11-0 tech fall victory in the final.
