Hilltopper Cross Country/Track & Field Earn Ten CSC Academic All-District® Selections

West Liberty, W.Va. – On Tuesday afternoon the College Sports Communicator's (CSC) announced the 2024 Academic All-District® selections for the sports of men's and women's cross country and track & field. West Liberty University was represented by Dorde Donovic, Reese Burnside, Philip White, Robert Allen, Brijaun Baylor, Morgan Lesnansky, Kennedy Martin, Kaylee Savage, Zayne Brakeall, and Ally Hicks, as CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classrooms.

Donovic earns his first career CSC Academic All-District® selection as he posted a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a degree in general business. The sophomore from Bar, Montenegro, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in five events. In indoor track & field he ranked 23rd in the region in the high jump (1.92m (6' 3.5")) and 60m hurdles (8.57), while in outdoor track & field he ranked 26th in the region in the high jump (1.90m (6' 2.75")), 32nd in the 400m hurdles (57.00), and 36th in the 110m hurdles (15.27).

Burnside earns his second career CSC Academic All-District® selection as he posted a 3.98 GPA while pursuing a degree in ­speech pathology. The junior from West Union, West Virginia, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in one event. In outdoor track & field he ranked sixth in the region in the pole vault (4.80m (15' 9")), breaking a school-record and earning All-MEC Second Team in the event.

White earns his first career CSC Academic All-District® selection as he posted a 3.51 undergraduate GPA and a 3.77 graduate GPA while pursuing a degree in exercise physiology. The graduate student from Morgantown, West Virginia, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in six events. In cross country he earned USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region honors with a 25th place finish and 10K time of 31:25.3 at the regional meet, additionally he claimed All-MEC Second Team honors with a 14th place finish and 8K time of 27:13.1 at the conference meet. During the indoor track & field season, White was a member of the distance medley relay team that ranked tenth in the region (10:24.91), was 19th in the mile (4:17.13), and 34th in the 3,000m run (8:47.02. In the outdoor track & field season he ranked 12th in the region in the 10,000m run (31:42.25) and 20th in the 1,500m run (3:58.57).

Allen earns his first career CSC Academic All-District® selection as he posted a 3.68 GPA, he is currently undecided for a major. The sophomore from Moundsville, West Virginia, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in five events. During the cross country season, he posted a top-50 finish in the regional meet with a 36th place finish and 10K time of 31:55.1. In the Indoor season, he ranked 16th in the region in the 5,000m run (15:05.24) and 41st in the 3,000m run (8:49.45), while during the outdoor track & field season he ranked 25th in the region in the 10,000m run (32:28.48) and 38th in the 5,000m run (15:22.90).

Baylor earns his first career CSC Academic All-District® selection as he posted a 3.65 GPA while pursuing a degree in athletic training. The junior from Wheeling, West Virginia, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in three events. During the indoor track & field season he ranked 41st in the region in the long jump, and during the outdoor track & field season he ranked 32nd in the long jump (6.85m (22' 5.75")) and 43rd in the triple jump (13.08m (42' 11)).

Lesnansky earns her first career CSC Academic All-District® selection as she posted a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a degree in pre-professional. The sophomore from Steubenville, Ohio, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in three events. In indoor track & field she ranked 37th in the region in the 5,000m run (19:25.59), while in outdoor track & field she ranked 35th in the region in the 10,000m run (41:12.08) and 42nd in the 5,000m run (18:53.65).

Martin earns her second career CSC Academic All-District® selection as she posted a 3.84 GPA while pursuing a degree in athletic training. The senior from New Cumberland, West Virginia, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in four events. In indoor track & field she ranked 13th in the region in the shot put (12.50m (41' 0.25")), while in outdoor track & field she ranked 3rd in the discus throw (44.35m (145' 6")), 16th in the shot put (12.56m (41' 2.5")), and 39th in the javelin throw (32.41m (106' 4")). Martin posted school records and earned All-MEC Honorable Mention honors during the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons and was also All-MEC Second Team and USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region in the discus throw during the outdoor season.

Savage earns her first career CSC Academic All-District® selection as she posted a 3.83 GPA while pursuing a degree in art education. The senior from Shadyside, Ohio, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in four events. In indoor track & field she ranked 37th in the region in the weight throw (12.87m (42' 2.75")) and 49th in the shot put (10.99m (36' 0.75")), while in outdoor track & field she ranked 38th in the hammer throw (38.75m (127' 1") and 47th shot put (11.27m (36' 11.75")).

Brakeall earns a second career CSC Academic All-District® selection, posting a 3.82 undergraduate GPA and a 4.00 graduate GPA while pursuing a degree in athletic training. The graduate student from Cumberland, Maryland, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in two events. During the outdoor track & field season, Brakeall ranked 15th in the region in the heptathlon (3,895 points) after earning All-MEC Second Team honors and breaking a school record. Additionally, during the outdoor season, a mark of 2.45m (8' 0.5") ranked 35th in the region in the pole vault.

Hicks earns her first career CSC Academic All-District® selection as she posted a 3.77 GPA while pursuing a degree in athletic training. The sophomore from Cameron, West Virginia, ranked among the top-50 in NCAA Division II's Atlantic Region in one event. In outdoor track & field she ranked 30th in the region in the 3,000m steeplechase (12:38.35).
