Berea, Ohio – The West Liberty University women's track & field team got the first of two last chance meets started this weekend as field events began on Thursday afternoon at the Harrison Dillard Twilight. Leading the way among the five athletes competing was
Kennedy Martin with a 15
th place finish while
Haley Norris and Katie Hill recorded career-best marks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kennedy Martin led the way for West Liberty in the discus throw with a mark of 34.20m (112' 2") for 15th place overall. Also competing in the event was Kaylee Savage, Jennifer DiLullo, Haley Norris, and Katie Hill with throws of 30.44m (99' 10"), 28.14m (92' 4"), 26.97m (88' 6"), 20.02m (65' 8"), and 18.33m (60' 2") respectively for 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th place. Norris and Hill notched new career-best marks in the event.

The West Liberty University track & field teams will be in action tomorrow afternoon for day two of the Harrison Dillard Twilight, starting at 1 p.m. at the George Finnie Stadium and Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea, Ohio. The weekend will then conclude with the Dani Palooza Last Chance, hosted by High Point University, starting at 11 a.m. at Vert Stadium in High Point, North Carolina.
