2024 All-MEC Release - Jaden Conrad and Kadence Pettit

Conrad and Pettit Earn All-MEC Honors

Bridgeport, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced the 2024 selections of the softball all-conference teams on Tuesday afternoon, as a pair of West Liberty University student-athletes garnered recognition from the league. Highlighting the accolades for the Hilltoppers were Jaden Conrad who was named to the All-MEC First Team while Kadence Pettit collected an All-MEC Second Team honor.

Earning a spot on the All-MEC First Team, Conrad collected her first career all-conference accolade. The sophomore second baseman from Saint Albans, West Virginia, appeared in all 50 regular season contests and recorded a .362 batting average, a .433 on-base percentage, a .514 slugging percentage, and a .947 on-base plus percentage. She totaled 50 hits, nine doubles, four homeruns, 26 RBI, and 28 runs scored. She recorded 11 multi-hit games this year, including a season-high of three on four occasions. Additionally, Conrad notched a pair of doubles in two games, and had one multi-homer game as she sent two over the fence in game two at Davis & Elkins en route to MEC Player of the Week honors on April 15. On the base paths she went 8-of-9 on stolen base attempts.

Earning a spot on the All-MEC Second Team, Pettit collected her first career all-conference accolade. The freshman pitcher from Moundsville, West Virginia, made 24 total appearances in the circle while making 19 starts during the 2024 season. She posted the lowest ERA by a Hilltopper at 3.79 while adding a WHIP of 1.40 and held opponents to a .256 batting average. Tallying a 10-11 record on the year she pitched ten complete games with one shutout and totaled 121.0 innings pitched. Pettit totaled 81 strikeouts this season and on eight occasions recorded five or more strikeouts in a game, including a season-high of eight against No. 8 Indianapolis.
