West Liberty, W.Va.- The West Liberty University athletic department is set to host the first annual WESPY's award ceremony on Tuesday, April 23rd, starting at 7:15 P.M. in the ASRC.
The WESPY's ceremony is to celebrate and honor all student-athletes for their accomplishments and diligence during the 2023-24 season. Recognitions will include conference, regional, and national award recipients. Awards will also be given to specific athletes for their performances, on and off the court, that will be voted on by the athletic department.
"We are so excited to embark on the first-ever WESPY's and have the chance to showcase our student athletes and their efforts on and off the field, court, and mat," Interim Athletic Director Brad Forshey stated.

- Male Newcomer of the Year
- Highest Men's Team GPA
- Highest Women's Team GPA
- Student Worker of the Year
- Comeback Game of the Year
- Women's Team Upset of the Year
- Men's Team Upset of the Year
- Play of the Year
- Robin A. Brunner Staff Award
- Women's Unsung Hero Award
- Men's Unsung Hero Award
- Joseph A. Bartell Memorial Scholarship Award (3)
- Male Athlete of the Year
- Female Athlete of the Year
