Edinboro, PA. - The West Liberty University women's basketball team dropped their season opener in the Atlantic Region Crossover at Edinboro to Cal.Pa. 95-74 Friday night, despite an outstanding performance from Jenna Riccardo. 

The graduate - student led all-scorers with 33 points knocking down 16 of the 20 shots she took from the floor. She finished with a double-double as she also grabbed 13 rebounds. Karli Anker, a transfer from Notre Dame, added 19 points. 

The Toppers trailed by ten, 49-39 at the half and the Vulcans were able to expand the lead in the third quarter out scoring the Hilltoppers 25-14. 

Anna Lucarelli and Bailee Smith each added seven points. 

The Hilltoppers will wrap up their stay in Edinboro with a meeting with the hosts Saturday at 5 p.m.
