West Liberty, W.Va. - The West Liberty University women's soccer team celebrated senior day Sunday with a 7-0 win over Salem at the West Family Athletic Complex. The 10 seniors recognized were Libby Finn, Morgan Kost, Jori Alexander, Kara Keiper, Ellie Cunningham, Isabella Aperfine, Kristin Berger, Morgan Stauver, Rileigh Gualtiere and Madison McReynolds.
The Hilltoppers opened the scoring in the 12th minute on Ellie Cunningham's first of the game. Morgan Kost would put West Liberty up 2-0 in the 22nd minute and that was the score at halftime.
The Toppers would net five goals in the second half, two more from Cunningham to give her a hat trick and another from Kost to give her two for the game. Kristin Berger and Isabella Aperfine would score the others. The Toppers finished the game with 37 shots , 20 on goal.
With the win the Hilltoppers improve to 4-9-2 on the season.
