West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's basketball program wrapped up hosting their first camp of the summer as 22 high school teams from West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania converged onto the hilltop from June 14-16. Teams from the Ohio Valley could pick from a variety of camp options with some staying only a day to play three games, but others staying the entirety of the camp to play as many as eight games against some of the best competition in the region.
Entering his seventh season as the head coach of the West Liberty program,
Kyle Cooper could not have been more thrilled about the success of the camp, stating "We are really excited about having an almost sold-out event that marks the largest in our time on the hilltop." Cooper also had excellent help throughout the 3-day event from associate head women's basketball coach,
Cassie Seth, and current student-athletes in the program.
Making it one of the premier team camps in the region, athletes participating were able to receive a first-class environment and experience, tour facilities, and play in games officiated by collegiate level or prospective officials. "We are beyond fortunate to continue our partnership with Brad McMillion as he spearheads the organization, scheduling, and management of our officials which has taken our event to a whole new level," Cooper said when talking about one of the camp's key aspects. "As a staff we pride ourselves on providing a first-class experience for all of the teams, coaches, and players, and there is no doubt we followed through on that commitment."
"We received a ton of positive feedback from both coaches and prospects, and we hope that the excitement surrounding our program carries over to our Elite 3v3 Shootout on August 1
st," stated Cooper. You can visit westlibertywomensbasketballcamps.com for more information and to register for upcoming Hilltopper women's basketball camps.
