Setla Recognized as Second Team All-Atlantic Region by D2CCA

West Liberty, W.Va. – West Liberty University libero Nyia Setla received her second all-region accolade of the day when she was named Second Team All-Atlantic Region by the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) on Wednesday afternoon. It is the second consecutive year that Setla has been recognized by the D2CCA, having previously been named First Team All-Atlantic Region a year ago.

As an all-region performer, she has consistently been one of the top liberos in NCAA Division II. At the conclusion of the regular season, she ranked second in the MEC in both total digs (573) and digs per set (5.03) while ranking 19th and 32nd nationally, among other athletes in the Atlantic Region her stats ranked third and eighth respectively. She recorded double digit digs in 29-of-30 matches this season and had 13 games with 20 or more digs. Earlier this season Setla became only the third player in program history to reach the 2,000 career dig mark, doing so in a win at Salem on October 3rd. She has also added 110 assists (0.96 assists per set) and 37 service aces (0.32 aces per set) this year.
