2022 Wabash College Wrestling Invitational Brackets
    CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Jonah Smith and Christian Rivera claimed individual titles to lead a dozen West Liberty place-winners here at Saturday's Wabash College Wrestling Invitational, hosted by the perennial NCAA Division III power on the Knowling Fieldhouse mats.
    Smith, fresh off a 149-pound championship at the previous weekend's Spartan Mat Classic, rolled into Saturday's 149-pound final on the strength of a fall and a technical fall before breezing to a 9-2 decision against the hosts' T.J. Driessens in the title bout.
    Competing in a smaller bracket at 157 pounds, Rivera received a bye into the semifinals, where he posted an 11-5 decision against Wabash's Evan Burge. Rivera decisioned another Wabash grappler, Brailen Harrington by an 8-4 count in the final.
    Head coach Danny Irwin's No. 4-ranked Hilltoppers will be back inside the ASRC on Saturday looking to defend their Mountain East Conference title in the third annual MEC Championships. Wrestling gets under way at 10 a.m.
