    BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Liberty University softball standout Riley Bennington is the Mountain East Conference Pitcher of the Week after playing a key role in a highly-successful road swing for the Black and Gold.
    Bennington, a sophomore righthander from Wheeling, W.Va., went 3-0 with a save and a 0.50 ERA in four appearances as the Hilltoppers reeled off six straight wins – all away from the friendly confines of the WLU Softball Complex.
    The hard-throwing ace allowed only 9 hits and gave up just one run all week while striking out 18 and walking just 3 in 14.0 impressive innings in the circle.
    Bennington and her West Liberty teammates head back on the road Tuesday for an afternoon doubleheader at Ursuline (Ohio).
