WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University volleyball team collected its seventh win in the last eight matches here Tuesday night, coasting to a 3-1 victory against Alderson Broaddus inside the ASRC.

Riley Schenk's surging Hilltoppers (18-11, 9-4) split the first two sets with the visiting Battlers (6-14, 2-11) by identical 25-21 scores before taking command of the match. A 14-2 late-game run led to a convincing 25-16 WLU victory in the third set before the Black and Gold sealed the deal with a dominant 25-14 fourth-set win.
Maddie Clayton led the way for the Hilltoppers with an impressive double-double, backing up a match-high 16 kills with 10 blocks at the net.
Nina Billotto added 8 kills and 4 blocks with
Riley Cudnik adding 6 kills and 3 blocks.
Kirsten Bogunovich also charted a double-double with 29 assists and 13 digs to go along with 4 blocks and
Nyia Setla was credited with a match-high 20 digs.
West Liberty hits the road on Friday for an important MEC North Division match at Frostburg State.
