WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – West Liberty University head women's basketball coach
Kyle Cooper has announced the promotion of
Cassie Seth to associate head coach with the Lady Hilltopper program.
"We are unbelievably excited to elevate Cassie to the position of Associate Head Coach," Cooper said. "Cassie's impact on our players, both on and off the court, combined with her passionate and consistent ownership in everything we do as a program speaks incredibly well to who she is as a person and how lucky we are to benefit from her talents here at West Liberty,"
Now heading into her fourth season on the West Liberty sidelines, Seth's first three seasons were highlighted by a 21-win campaign and NCAA Tournament bid in 2018-19. An intense competitor, she also played a key role in the development of such record-setting standouts as first-team NCAA Division II All-American
Marissa Brown and two-time NCAA Division II 3-point leader
Morgan Brunner.
An All-Conference guard and 1,000-point scorer during her playing days at NCAA Division II Mercyhurst (Pa.), Seth spent seven years as a high school coach in the Cleveland area. She coached 32 All-Conference players during that time and was selected to coach in two post-season all-star games. She broke into the collegiate coaching ranks with one season as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Baldwin-Wallace where she helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a 21-5 record before accepting Cooper's offer to join him at WLU.
Seth holds a bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Sport Business Management from Mercyhurst along with a master's degree in Sports Administration from Valparaiso (Ind.).
