    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty women return to the friendly confines of the ASRC tonight for a Mountain East Conference tilt against high-scoring West Virginia State. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.

    Coach Kyle Cooper's Hilltoppers (5-4, 2-3) saw a late rally fall short on Wednesday in a 78-68 loss at MEC-leading Charleston. Morgan Brunner had a game-high 23 points and Corinne Thomas added 14 more in a losing cause.
    The Yellow Jackets (2-6, 1-4) jumped out to an early lead but couldn't hang on as Wheeling rallied to an 80-73 win at Institute on Wednesday despite eight 3-point bombs and a game-high 33 points from WVSU's Charity Shears.
    This is the 52nd meeting between the two schools. West Liberty has won 19 of the last 23 encounters to take a commanding 40-12 series lead.
