INDIANAPOLIS – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team has been ranked among the top 10 teams in the Atlantic Region for the second consecutive week.
Coach
Kayla Mull's Hilltoppers reeled off three straight wins last week and stayed put at No. 10 when the NCAA Division II Regional Ranking Committee released its second set of Atlantic Region weekly rankings late Wednesday afternoon.
The committee will release its final set of weekly rankings on Nov. 7 leading up to the Nov. 11 announcement of this year's regional tournament field. This week's rankings reflect matches played through Sunday.
Three Mountain East Conference teams are included in this week's rankings, which are once again dominated by teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
Wheeling Jesuit, which has already clinched its sixth consecutive MEC regular season crown, is still No. 2 behind defending regional champion Gannon while Shepherd slipped two spots from No. 4 to No. 6 after three straight losses.
Coming off a loss to Wheeling Jesuit on Tuesday night, the Lady Hilltoppers wrap up the regular season at home this weekend. West Liberty hosts Notre Dame (Ohio) in a 6 p.m. match on Friday before closing out the slate on Saturday with an 11 a.m. match against Urbana.
