No. 18 Vulcans Take Down WLU Women's Tennis

CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The No. 18-ranked California (Pa.) women's tennis team handed West Liberty a 9-0 setback here Friday afternoon in a meeting of perennial Atlantic Region powers.
Coach Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (11-7), ranked No. 9 in the region, never got anything going against the defending regional champs on Friday.
The Vulcans (12-2), once again occupying their customary No. 1 spot in the region, swept all three doubles matches and followed that up with six singles wins to finish off the sweep.
The West Liberty women are scheduled to play a 1 p.m. non-conference match at Franciscan University on Saturday.
