INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – West Liberty University women's basketball coach Lynn Ullom will be honored as a 2016 Victory Club Award recipient by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) here later this week during the WBCA National Convention.

Ullom, who just completed his 25th season at the Lady Hilltopper helm, passed the 500-win career milestone on Nov. 23, 2015 with a 95-79 victory at Urbana. With a 525-232 (.694) career record, he ranks among the top 15 NCAA Division II coaches in the nation in both wins and winning percentage.

The winningest coach in West Virginia women's basketball history, Ullom has led WLU to 5 conference championships, six league tournament titles and 14 NCAA Tournament berths while averaging more than 20 wins a season during his quarter-century at the West Liberty helm. 

Ullom was honored as the 2016 Mountain East Conference Coach of the Year after leading West Liberty to a school-record 29 wins, highlighted by a second straight MEC championship and the first NCAA Division II "Sweet 16" berth in WLU history.

The WBCA Victory Club Award is presented annually to each WBCA-member head coach who achieves career wins of 200, 300, 400, 500 or more, in 100-victory increments, during the current season.
