West Liberty Women Rout Fairmont State

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's team swept all three doubles matches and never looked back Monday afternoon in rolling to an 8-1 victory against Fairmont State in a Mountain East Conference match at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
Coach Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (5-2, 4-1) followed up their doubles dominance by taking five of the six singles matches in straight sets to close out the blowout victory over the Falcons (4-6, 1-5).
Rhiannon James and Laura Huwe picked up the win at No. 1 doubles with Raquel Cabero and Alaina Pauley prevailing at No. 2 doubles. Ana Berbel and Kate Pinchuk breezed to an 8-2 nod at No. 3 doubles.
Singles victories went to Huwe, Cabero, Berbel, Pauley and Andrea Puga with Huwe, Cabero and Puga all winning at love and love.
The Black and Gold will be back in action Wednesday afternoon when they host West Virginia Wesleyan in a 3 p.m. match at the Martin Complex.
