Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University baseball team just missed upsetting No. 6-ranked Seton Hill at Kovalick Field Wednesday afternoon as the Griffins scored 3 runs in the top of the ninth to come from behind for a 7-5 win.
Coach Eric Burkle's Hilltoppers (16-9) had taken a 4-3 lead with a three-spot of their own in the bottom of the fourth and added another tally in the bottom of the fifth to go up 5-3. Seton Hill (25-4) scratched out a run in the sixth to trim the deficit to 5-4 but Nolan Marcus – WLU's third pitcher of the day – held the visitors at bay after that until the nationally-ranked visitors broke through in the top of the ninth.
