Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The West Liberty University baseball team moved to 6-0 in West Virginia Conference action on Wednesday by sweeping Davis & Elkins in an evening doubleheader at the Glenville State diamond.
    Coach Eric Burkle's Hilltoppers (8-7, 6-0) posted wins of 9-5 and 6-5 against the Senators (6-10, 3-5) in the brisk and chilly neutral-field twinbill.
    In the first game, West Liberty exploded for four runs in the top of the sixth and added another in the top of the seventh to overcome a 5-4 deficit and pull out the win.
    Andrew Henry's 2-run homer highlighted the sixth-inning uprising while Trevor Denman's seventh inning solo shot capped the scoring.
    Both players had multi-hit games with Henry also collecting a double while Denman added a single. Taylor Snare had a pair of hits while Tim Mirandy got things started with a 3-run home run in the top of the first. Josh Nagel chipped in with an RBI double and D.J. Busby had a run-scoring single.
    Drew Peterson pitched into the sixth inning to earn the win with Mike Roach coming on with one out in the sixth to pick up the save.
    In the second game, the Hilltoppers jumped out to a 6-1 lead and held off a late Senator surge to complete the sweep.
    Jon Michael Brunner led the way at the plate with three singles and an RBI while Mirandy had two singles and drove in a run. Snare added a two-run single while Henry doubled home a run.
    Chris Secore pitched into the sixth to earn the win with relief help from Bruce Knisley and Josh Graham.
    West Liberty is scheduled to host Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday in a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Kovalick Field.
