WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's tennis team knocked West Virginia Wesleyan from the ranks of the unbeaten in dominating fashion Thursday afternoon, romping to an 8-1 win at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
Coach
Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (6-1, 4-1) jumped on the Bobcats (4-1, 3-1) right from the start, sweeping the three doubles matches by scores of 8-2, 8-2 and 8-0. The Black and Gold went on to complete the blowout with five straight-set wins in singles competition.

Alex Barr claimed singles wins for the hosts. Wischi teamed up with
Lauren Howard for the win at No. 1 doubles. Cabero and Barr combined for the nod at No. 2 doubles with Dawson and
Christina Pauley pitching the shutout at No. 3 doubles.
The West Liberty women close out the MEC regular-season on Oct. 11 when they host Concord in a 1 p.m. match.
