West Liberty Men Take Two

    The West Liberty University men's tennis team got their fall schedule off to a 2-0 start with convincing wins against Grove City (Pa.) College and Franciscan (Ohio) University.
    Coach Sam McCullough's Hilltoppers breezed to an 8-1 victory against the Pennsylvania squad before blanking their Ohio foes, 9-0.
    Gui Lima and Vinnie Guarda won both of their singles matches and teamed up for a pair of victories at No. 2 doubles while Darren Liebenberg and Alex Hayden also posted a pair of singles wins and combined for two wins at No. 3 doubles.
    Ivan Irazabal swept both of his matches at No. 1 singles and joined with Raphael Machado for two wins at No. 1 doubles.
    The Hilltoppers will travel to Fairmont State on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match on the Falcons' courts.
