    The West Liberty University women's tennis team remained unbeaten in West Virginia Conference play over the weekend with a pair of impressive road wins.
    Coach Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (4-0, 3-0) blanked a short-handed Alderson-Broaddus squad by a 9-0 count on Friday and followed that up with a 9-0 romp at Concord on Sunday after being rained out on Saturday at Bluefield State.
    West Liberty made short work of A-B on Friday as the Battlers had only three players available for action. Lauren Howard, Raissa Wischi and Emily Dawson rolled to straight set wins in singles with Howard and Wischi teaming up for a doubles win. Three singles and two doubles matches went to WLU via forfeit.
    Concord fielded a full team on Sunday but the Mountain Lions didn't fare any better as the Hilltoppers lost a total of just 3 games in the six singles and three doubles matches.
    Howard, Wischi, Dawson, Zineb Houssaini, Alex Barr and Christina Pauley notched singles wins for West Liberty. Doubles victories came from the tandems of Howard and Wischi, Barr and Houssaini and Dawson and Sarah Howells.
    The Hilltoppers step outside the conference on Thursday with a 3:30 p.m. match at Slippery Rock (Pa.).
