WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team pulled out a thrilling 5-4 victory against Davis & Elkins Wednesday afternoon in a West Virginia Conference match at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
    Coach Sam McCullough's hosts grabbed a quick 2-1 lead by taking two of the three doubles matches before splitting the six singles matches to claim the win.
    Ayman Barakat, Jesus Gimenez and Logan Jarrett rolled to straight-set victories in singles action for the Hilltoppers. Barakat and Ivan Irazabel teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles with Jarrett and Tyler McCullough prevailing at No. 3 doubles.
    The West Liberty men host West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday afternoon in a crucial WVIAC encounter. Doubles play is set to start at 3 p.m.
