West Liberty Wrestlers Ranked 4th in Region

ERIE, Pa.  – Coach Brian Davis's nationally-ranked West Liberty University wrestling team is also ranked among the top teams in the Super Region One, according to the most recent regional coaches' poll.
The Hilltoppers, ranked No. 14 nationally, were fourth in the Super Region One poll compiled by the region's mat coaches.
Defending regional champion Newberry (S.C.) held onto the No. 1 spot while Pitt-Johnstown leaped from No. 4 to No. 2 on the strength of some recent strong outings. Mercyhurst slipped one spot to No. 3 while the Hilltoppers dropped a spot to No. 4 with Kutztown moving up to round out the top five in the 13-team region.
Eight West Liberty wrestlers are ranked among the top six in the region at their respective weights.
Two-time national qualifier JD Ramsey – ranked No. 7 in the nation at 285 pounds – is the No. 2-ranked heavyweight in Super Region One.
Matt Littleton is No. 3 at 174 pounds with Nick Wykoff and Art Hobley ranked No. 4 at 141 and 149 pounds, respectively.
Three Hilltoppers - Jarrod Shaw (157), Jorden Nolan (165) and Jake Donley (197) – are fifth in the regional rankings with 184-pounder Derrick Williams slotting in at No. 6.
