WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's tennis team pitched a shutout at the ASRC Tuesday afternoon.
Coach
Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (5-2, 4-0) didn't lose a single set in rolling to a 9-0 victory against visiting Concord. The West Virginia Conference match was played on the ASRC's indoor courts due to wet conditions at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
Lauren Howard,
Emma Windsor,
Raissa Wischi, Alexandria Barr and
Christina Pauley cruised to singles wins for West Liberty with
Moleigh Poling collecting a forfeit win at No. 6 singles. The Hilltoppers' No. 1 and 2 doubles tandems of Howard and Wischi and Windsor and Barr lost only one game in coasting to easy wins. Pauley and
Sarah Howells won by forfeit at No. 3 singles.
The Lady Hilltoppers return to action on Thursday when they travel to Buckhannon for a makeup match against West Virginia Wesleyan. The teams' regularly-scheduled match was rained out on Sunday.
