Alex Easthom was named the MEC Co-Golfer of the Week after a tie for first place finish at the Golden Eagle Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. Easthom jumped three spots on Tuesday to finish in the tie for first after posting a 69 in his final round. A tournament-best nine birdies were carded by Easthom over the two day event. He also was the tournament leader in par-5 scoring, where he shot a two-day total of -6 for an average of 4.25 on par-5's. He birdied all four par-5's on the course on Monday and followed it up with 2-of-4 birdies on Tuesday. The graduate student capped off the week with a 69 (-3) in the final round of the Mercyhurst Fall Invitational on Saturday, tying a tournament best. Easthom carded four birdies Saturday with three coming on the back nine. He finished the Mercyhurst event in 6th place.
