Phillips ran a 30:15.5 at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships to earn a 17th place finish and spot on the All-Region team this past weekend. The graduate student from Clarksburg, W.Va. was third on the team at the 2k mark and in 21st overall, but a consistent stride kept him right with the pack. A 5:27.9 in the final 1.8 kilometers moved him up four spots inside the top-20, the best split of any Hilltopper in the race.
