Phillips posted a 4:12.64 winning the one mile race that featured multiple Division I runners by 0.68 seconds Friday at the Youngstown State Collegiate Invitational. He broke the previous record held by teammate Michael Harriman, set last January, by over five seconds. Phillips now owns the school record in three different races, including the 1000m and 5000m, which he set last month at Grand Valley State.
