Madison Clayton

    The first NCAA Division II All-American in West Liberty volleyball history, Madison Clayton embarks on her first year as a graduate assistant coach at her alma mater this fall.
    A dominant 6-5 middle blocker, Clayton was an honorable mention All-America selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and the Division II Conference Commissioners’ Association (D2CCA) last fall after leading the Mountain East Conference and ranking 6th among all NCAA Division II women with 148 total blocks.
    Clayton also earned first-team All-Region honors and her third consecutive first-team All-MEC citation in recognition of her ranking among the Top 10 in the conference in kills, hitting percentage and points scored. She ended her stellar career on the hilltop as the school’s all-time leader in career hitting percentage (.313).
              A Roseville, Ohio native who starred at Philo High School, Clayton graduated from West Liberty with a degree in Athletic Training and is currently working toward her master's degree in Education. Madison is the daughter of Cassie and Lance Clayton.
