The winningest volleyball coach in West Liberty history, Kayla Mull returns to the hilltop to assist the Hilltopper volleyball team after spending the past 3 seasons in retirement. Mull served as the program's head coach for eight years from 2012-19 and compiled a career record of 136-125 (.521).
Following the 2018 season, she was the only NCAA Division II head coach named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s “30 Under 30” honor roll – an award created in 2009 to honor the top 30 young head coaches or assistant coaches from NCAA Division I through high school and club organizations.
Current Head Coach Riley Schenk served as a graduate assistant under Mull for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. They teamed up to lead West Liberty to 41 wins over the two seasons.
Kayla and her husband, Noah, reside in Wheeling.
