Brooke Turner

After posting West Liberty’s first back-to-back double-digit win seasons in a decade, Brooke Turner is looking to build on that momentum as she heads into her sixth season guiding the Lady Hilltoppers’ volleyball fortunes.
Taking over a program that had won just four of its previous 50 matches at the start of the 2007 season, the energetic young coach nearly doubled that number in her very first season and has put together a much more respectable 23-35 mark over the past two seasons as the Hilltoppers continue their climb up the WVIAC ladder.
A native of Weirton, W.Va., Turner is no stranger to success on the volleyball court. A three-sport standout at Weir High, she helped the Red Riders to a West Virginia Class A-AA state volleyball championship and a state runner-up showing during her high school career.
Turner played her collegiate volleyball at Wheeling Jesuit University, helping the Cardinals to four straight WVIAC tournament championships (2000-03) and three NCAA Division II tourney bids.
Wheeling Jesuit posted a 139-32 record during Turner’s four varsity seasons, winning 58 of its 60 conference matches, and she closed out her career by earning MVP honors at the 2003 WVIAC Tournament.
Coach Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s in Business Administration from Wheeling Jesuit.
