Mike Drahos returns for his fifth season as Ullom’s assistant. Drahos came to WLU after two seasons as Coach Aaron Huffman’s top assistant with the Bethany College men’s basketball program. During Drahos’s two years as a Bison assistant, the Bethany men won 36 games, advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament for the fourth straight year and earned their third Presidents Athletic Conference title in four seasons.
A two-time PAC Player of the Year and three-time First Team all-conference selection at Bethany, Drahos was named to six All-Region teams over the course of his career and was a two-time NCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American. Drahos ranks among the top five scorers and rebounders in school history with 1,681 career points and 877 career boards. He helped lead the Bison to a 76-33 (.697) record during his four-year varsity career – a career that included two PAC titles and a pair of NCAA Division III tournament bids.
An outstanding student, Drahos was a Second-Team Academic All-American honoree as a senior and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. He holds a master’s degree in Legal Studies from West Virginia University. His duties at West Liberty include recruiting coordinator, conducting individual workouts, scouting, on-court instruction, weight training, digital editing, and academic counseling.
