Dr. Douglas Swartz returns for his third year as an assistant coach with the West Liberty University women's basketball program.
An avid basketball fan, Dr. Swartz is Associate Professor of Chemistry at West Liberty.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Madonna University in Livonia, Mich. and completed his Ph.D. studies at Michigan State University in 2009. Dr. Swartz began his teaching career with an assistant professorship at Kutztown (Pa.) University in 2009 and joined the West Liberty University faculty in 2012.
Dr. Swartz resides in Triadelphia, W.Va. with his wife, Melesa, and their children, Aria, Kailey and Luca.
