Spent two seasons at Youngstown State University.... Redshirted during her freshman season after suffering a severe lower-leg injury.... Appeared in 10 games as a redshirt freshman.... Played under head coach Melissa Jackson.

High School:
Played at Cameron High School in Cameron, W.Va........ Four-year letterwinner and four-year starter.... Helped lead the Dragons to three WVSSAC Class A state championships, one state runner-up finish and four consecutive OVAC championships.... Finished her career as Cameron High School's all-time leading scorer and rebounder with more than 2,000 career points and 1,500 rebounds.... Set the West Virginia state record with 31 rebounds in a game in 2022 and the state tournament record with 61 rebounds over three games.... Three-time Mason-Dixon Conference Player of the Year and three-time OVAC Player of the Year.... Four-time First Team All-State selection and two-time First Team All-State captain.... Named Tournament MVP after leading Cameron to the 2024 state championship.... Co-Winner of the 2024 Mary Ostrowski Player of the Year Award and a 2023 Gatorade Player of the Year nominee.... Averaged a double-double in each of her four varsity seasons, including 22.0 points and 14.0 rebounds per game as a senior while averaging 23.7 points and 24.7 rebounds during the 2024 state tournament.... Finished her state tournament career with an 11-1 record.... Played under head coach Holly Pettit.

Off the Court:
Ashlynn is the daughter of Mary and Aaron Van Tassell.... She has three brothers, Landon, Delbert and Hunter, and two sisters, Katelynn and Gracie........ She is majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education.
