West Liberty University Athletics

High School: Played at DuBois Area High School under head coach Dave Bennett. A four-year letterwinner, four-year starter and two-year team captain, Bennett helped lead the Beavers to a District 9 championship while establishing himself as one of the top players in Pennsylvania Class 5A basketball.

Bennett's teams improved each season during his high school career, posting records of 11-14, 16-7, 15-9 and 19-5. He finished his prep career as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,504 career points and set another school record with 263 career 3-pointers.

Among his many accolades, Bennett was named District 9 League Player of the Year, Courier Express Player of the Year and District Player of the Year. He also earned Pennsylvania Class 5A All-State honors twice.

Bennett scored 204 points as a freshman before increasing his total to 298 points as a sophomore. He broke out as a junior with 480 points and capped his career with 522 points as a senior. During his final two seasons, he combined for 1,002 points while helping lead the Beavers to a 34-14 record.

Off the Court: Maddox is the son of Kaye and Dave Bennett. He has a younger brother, Baron (11), and an older sister, Courtney (28). Bennett plans to major in General Business at West Liberty University.
