Biography

High School: A three-year letterwinner and starter at John Marshall High School under head coach Mark Cisar, Wells served as a team captain during his senior season. He totaled 31 receptions for 684 yards, returned 13 kickoffs for 376 yards and added 46 tackles with one interception on defense. Wells also was nominated for OVAC Special Teams Player of the Year honors.

Off the Field: Xavier is the son of Michelle Wells, Sam Ames and Tom Wells and has two siblings, Jocelynne and Zakk. He plans to major in Exercise Physiology at West Liberty with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.
