West Liberty University Athletics

High School: Played football and basketball at Steelton-Highspire Junior/Senior High School under head coach Andrew Erby. A three-year varsity football player, Roman helped lead the Rollers to three postseason appearances, two district championships and a trip to the PIAA State Quarterfinals during his senior season. He also played two years of varsity basketball, helping his team reach the PIAA State Quarterfinals as a junior. As a senior, Roman earned Third Team All-Conference honors after leading the team in every major defensive category. He recorded 41 solo tackles, 18 tackles for loss, seven sacks, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, two interceptions, one defensive touchdown, two blocked punts and one blocked field goal while not allowing a reception all season. He also made the Honor Roll during all four marking periods of his senior year.

Off the Field: Desuan is the son of Sierra Courtney and Dwight Roman. He has two sisters, Dezire and Siyuri, and one brother, Chance. He is majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Construction Management.. His cousin, Aaron Berry, played collegiate football at Pitt before spending time with the Detroit Lions, New York Jets and Cleveland Browns in the NFL.
