2025:
Academic All-MEC.... Appeared in all 11 games as the Hilltoppers' primary kickoff specialist.... Converted his first collegiate field goal, a 32-yarder, against Fairmont State on Nov. 1, 2025.... Went 1-for-4 on field goal attempts.... Made 1-of-2 extra-point attempts.... Handled 57 kickoffs for 3,011 yards, averaging 52.8 yards per kickoff.... Recorded 14 touchbacks, including a season-high five against Fairmont State and four against Glenville State.

High School:
Played at Brooke High School in Wellsburg, W.Va.... Connected on 3-of-5 field goals during his junior season while earning Brooke Special Teams Player of the Year honors.... Converted 9-of-12 field goal attempts and all 15 extra-point attempts as a senior.... Earned First Team All-State, First Team All-OVAC, All-Region and Brooke Special Teams Player of the Year honors.... Named Scholar Athlete of the Week and competed in the OVAC All-Star Game.

Majoring in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Business.... Son of Krista Brettell and Chance Kins.... Has one sibling, Gunnar Brettell.
