Biography

High School: Played at Stephen T. Badin High School in Hamilton, Ohio, under head coach Nick Yordy. A two-year letter winner and two-year starter, Pate earned Greater Catholic League-Coed Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior. He was also named First Team All-League, First Team All-City and Second Team All-Ohio after recording 60 tackles, including 47 solo stops, with seven sacks, 12 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, one interception and three pass breakups in nine games.

Off the Field: Alex is the son of Bridget Pate and Tommy Pate. He has three siblings, David Begley, Dominic Pate and Amelia Pate. He is majoring in Exercise Physiology. His father played football at Bowling Green State University.
