After having her first season as a graduate assistant coach with the WLU Acrobatics and Tumbling team cut short by COVID-19, Mariah Ack returns for her second season on the hilltop.
Before coming to West Liberty, Ack was a teammate of WLU head coach Kelsey Kyle at Fairmont State University and helped lead the Falcons to the 2019 Mountain East Conference championship and a Top 5 national ranking.
The Keyser, W.Va. native won MEC event titles in the 7-Element Acro and Synchronized Toss during her senior year. Also an outstanding student, Ack was selected for the 2019 MEC All-Academic Team and the 2019 NCATA Academic Honor Roll.
The daughter of Bill Ack, Heather Ack and Bridgette Simon, Mariah graduated cum laude from Fairmont State with a B.A. in Elementary Education and is working toward her Master’s in Sports Leadership and Coaching at West Liberty.
