CLARION, Pa. — West Liberty opened play at the Clarion Golden Eagle Autumn Invitational on Saturday, posting a team score of 415 (+127) in the opening round at Clarion Oaks Golf Club.

The Hilltoppers sit ninth in the 10-team field heading into Sunday's final round.

Samantha Spearman paced West Liberty in the opening round, carding a 95 (+23) to finish 33rd individually.

Jessi Mix and Jocey Williams both finished at 96 (+24), tying for 34th place.

Hannah Shepard posted a 107 (+35), while Brooke Perri rounded out the Hilltoppers' team score with a 117 (+45).

Morgan Messner also competed for West Liberty as an individual, shooting 119 (+47).

Kutztown leads the team standings after opening with a 321 (+33), followed by Seton Hill at 332 (+44) and Millersville at 337 (+49). California (+64) and host Clarion (+65) round out the top five.

Kutztown's Brooke Graham leads the individual standings after firing a 78 (+6) in the opening round.

West Liberty will return to Clarion Oaks Golf Club on Sunday for the final round of the Golden Eagle Autumn Invitational.
