WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – West Liberty University baseball junior first baseman Hunter White has been named this week's Hilltopper of the Week following another dominant stretch at the plate.
The Hagerstown, Md. native continued to lead the Hilltoppers' offense, recording seven hits over five games while hitting .467 for the week. White tallied multiple multi-hit performances, including a pair of two-hit games against Seton Hill and Fairmont State.
White also delivered in key moments, driving in six runs and scoring three times while adding extra-base power with a double and a home run. He consistently reached base and provided a steady presence in the middle of the lineup.
His strong week boosted his season batting average to .412, which leads the team. White also tops the Hilltoppers in hits (54), RBIs (35), home runs (9), total bases (93), and slugging percentage (.710), cementing his role as one of the most dangerous hitters in the Mountain East Conference.
A graduate of Williamsport High School, White has been a cornerstone of West Liberty's lineup all season, combining power and consistency to anchor the offense.
