CLAYSVILLE, Pa. – The West Liberty University women's tennis team returns to action Friday morning, hosting Frostburg State in a Mountain East Conference matchup at 10:30 a.m. at McGuffey High School.

West Liberty enters the contest looking to snap a five-match skid and pick up its first MEC victory of the season. The Hilltoppers opened the spring with an impressive 6-1 win at Daemen but have since faced a challenging stretch that included a competitive spring break trip and three consecutive conference matches.

Frostburg State comes into the matchup with a 7-7 overall record and is also searching for its first MEC win after a 1-6 loss to Charleston earlier this week. The Bobcats have shown the ability to string together strong performances, including multiple wins during a mid-March stretch, and will look to carry that momentum into Friday's match.

Historically, the matchup has favored West Liberty, which holds a perfect 5-0 record against Frostburg State since 2020. The Hilltoppers edged the Bobcats 4-3 in last season's meeting, continuing a streak that includes multiple dominant victories earlier in the series.
