WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University athletic department will celebrate the achievements of its student-athletes with the third annual WESPY Awards on Tuesday, April 14, inside the ASRC.

The evening will begin with the Gold Carpet at 6 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 7 p.m., bringing together Hilltopper student-athletes, coaches, and staff for a night dedicated to honoring excellence across all sports.

The WESPY Awards serve as West Liberty's premier end-of-year celebration, recognizing the hard work, dedication, and success of its student-athletes throughout the 2025-26 academic year.

Nominees for this year's awards will be announced Friday beginning at 12:30 p.m., building excitement leading into next week's ceremony.

Throughout the evening, conference, regional, and national award winners will be recognized, highlighting the Hilltoppers' accomplishments on a larger stage. In addition, a variety of specialty awards—voted on by the athletic department—will honor standout performances both on and off the field.

From record-breaking moments to championship performances and community impact, the WESPYs aim to capture the full scope of what it means to be a Hilltopper student-athlete.

Now in its third year, the event continues to grow as a signature tradition within the West Liberty athletic department, celebrating not only athletic success but also leadership, teamwork, and commitment in the classroom and community.

The night promises to be a memorable celebration of the Black and Gold, as West Liberty recognizes the individuals and teams that made the 2025-26 season one to remember.
