No. 8 Hilltoppers Host Davis & Elkins Wednesday Night at ASRC

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The No. 8-ranked West Liberty Hilltoppers return home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. to host Davis & Elkins Senators at the Academic, Sports & Recreation Complex in Mountain East Conference play.

West Liberty enters the week riding a seven-game winning streak and stands at 17-3 overall with a 12-1 conference mark. The Hilltoppers continue to make noise nationally with an offense that ranks among the best in NCAA Division II.

  • No. 8 — NABC Top 25 (hilltopper's highest ranking of the season; first time inside the top 10)
     

  • 2nd in NCAA DII Scoring Offense — averaging 96.8 points per game

  • Led NCAA Division II in Bench Points Per Game — averaging 48.6 from the second unit

  • Top 10 in Forced Turnovers Per Game — averaging 20.25 forced turnovers
     

  • West Liberty also ranks among the national leaders in three-pointers made per game and continues to blend efficient inside/outside scoring with elite ball movement.
     

West Liberty's success starts with strong contributions across the lineup. Jamie Muldowney leads the team at 13.2 points per game, while Cameron Williams (11.4) and Myles Montgomery (11.0) provide consistent scoring threats. The Hilltoppers' assist leaders — led by Aiden Davis (46.6% 3-point shooter) — have generated 18.6 assists per game, allowing West Liberty to thrive in its motion offense. Inside, Peter Lattos (8.4 ppg) and Terrance Pankey Jr. provide production on the boards and on both ends of the court.

Davis & Elkins enters the matchup with a 7-13 overall record and 4-9 MEC mark, averaging 82.6 points per game. The Senators are led by Matthew Gray (17.1 ppg) and Vegas Evans (15.4 ppg), with both players anchoring D&E's scoring and rebounding efforts.

West Liberty has dominated the all-time series, holding a 90-29 advantage, including a 101-97 victory earlier this season in Elkins. The Hilltoppers are riding a 28-game winning streak against the Senators. The Hilltoppers' last loss to Davis & Elkins came during the 2001–02 season.

Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the ASRC.
