What to Watch

The MEC Championships provide the Hilltoppers with their biggest stage of the indoor season. With scoring opportunities across sprints, distance, jumps, throws, and multi-events, depth will be key for both squads.

On the Track

West Liberty will look for strong performances in:

  • Short sprints (60m & 200m)

  • 400m and 800m

  • Distance events (3,000m and 5,000m)

  • Relay races, including the Distance Medley and 4x400

The prelim-to-final format in sprint and hurdle events makes qualifying critical on Saturday night before championship races Sunday afternoon.

In the Field

Points will also be available in:

  • Pole Vault

  • High Jump

  • Long Jump & Triple Jump

  • Shot Put & Weight Throw
