WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The No. 6-ranked West Liberty University men's basketball team is among the programs listed under consideration in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional rankings, released Wednesday afternoon.
The initial release identifies teams under consideration for regional selection but does not include an official ranking order. Beginning next week, the NCAA will release a ranked regional poll that will determine positioning toward NCAA Tournament selection.
West Liberty (21-3 overall, 20-2 in the Atlantic Region) is one of 10 teams recognized in the Atlantic Region's first release.

Beyond its regional positioning, West Liberty has an opportunity to secure conference hardware Wednesday night.
The Hilltoppers (16-1 MEC) can clinch at least a share of the Mountain East Conference regular-season championship with a win at Glenville State University. West Liberty currently holds a two-game advantage in the loss column over second-place Fairmont State, putting the program in position to lock up their ninth straight league title with a strong finish.
