WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty Hilltoppers women's basketball return to the ASRC on Saturday afternoon for a Mountain East Conference matchup against Fairmont State Fighting Falcons women's basketball. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m for senior day. Prior to tip-off the WLU will recognize seniors Anna Lucarelli and Halley Smith.
West Liberty (7-16, 4-12 MEC) looks to bounce back after a competitive road effort at Frostburg State, while Fairmont State (18-5, 12-4 MEC) enters the weekend tied near the top of the conference standings.
The Hilltoppers hold a 49-42 all-time edge in the series, though the Falcons have won the last several meetings, including a 76-54 decision in Fairmont earlier this season.
West Liberty averages 71.0 points per game, ranking fifth in the MEC in scoring offense, and leads the conference in assists per game (14.3) — a testament to the team's ball movement and offensive spacing.
