SISSONVILLE, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's golf team capped its second tournament in just five days on Tuesday, competing in the UC Invitational hosted by Charleston at Edgewood Country Club.

The Hilltoppers placed 11th in the strong regional field, which featured top programs from the Mountain East Conference and beyond. Gannon claimed the team title at +27, while Charleston's "A" squad finished runner-up at +33.

Sara Simon once again paced the Black and Gold, carding back-to-back rounds of 80 to finish at +18 (160) and secure a Top 40 individual finish. Hannah Shepherd followed with a two-day total of 190 (+52), while Serenidy Wertz (200, +89) and Reese Ward (240, +134) rounded out the Hilltoppers' lineup.

Charleston's Lucia Martin claimed medalist honors at +1 (143), highlighted by an opening-round 70.

West Liberty now turns its attention to next week's Concord/Glenville Invitational, set for September 15-16 at Pipestem State Park in Pipestem, W.Va.
